This was the temperature when I got out of work today. Gorgeous! We're supposed to get one more fab day tomorrow and then the thermometer will plummet. Ah well, wouldn't be NW Ohio if Halloween wasn't cold and rainy.
Got a little project done - quilting this time. I made my sister a little table mat.
I used Halloween colors so it could be a seasonal decoration but it isn't overt so you could get away with keeping it out a little longer.
The backing fabric is more obviously Halloween-y.
Ooooo scary spiders!
This was all hand sewn and quilted. I used English paper piecing for the hexagons. It was my first time trying to miter inward corners on the binding - very tricky! Thank goodness for a YouTube video that showed me how.
I had fun with this but I can't imagine doing a whole quilt this way. My mom and I made one together years and years ago and it was labeled "the quilt from hell" before we were a third through. It was pretty when we finished but we swore never again.
Got to get back to knitting now. I have to finish the Wingspan I'm making for L's birthday and then Christmas knitting looms. On that note...
