This weekend was a preview of the next couple weeks when college basketball will consume the household. Loved the OSU game on Saturday, yesterday not so much. Now I have to get my bracket filled out. Will probably let a couple mornings of Sportscenter filter through my head first.
Of course, if I am watching basketball, I am knitting. The Heather Hoodie Vest is growing. I have the back and 1.5 fronts done.
This photo represents the purple pretty well, although there is more heather to it in real life.
I feel like I have been working on this pretty consistently but I'm nowhere near done. We have been too busy for any knitting at work and I am spending a lot of evenings at the gym, so I guess I need to be patient. Like always, I am looking forward to the next project already.
There has also been a little bit of weaving. One of our nurses retired last week and I wanted to make her a going-away gift. Time slipped away from me, so I decided on a woven scarf and whipped it up last weekend. (Have I mentioned how much I love the instant gratification of a rigid-heddle loom?)
One ball of Liberty Wool for the warp and for the weft I used most of a ball of what I think was Rowan Luxury Tweed. I love how the weft muted the brightness of the warp. The fabric is soft with very nice drape. The scarf was well received, so we'll call this one a success.
Next post finished Hoodie? One can only hope.
