Another weekend gone at the speed of light, leaving me dazed and confused. Where does the time go? I remember a nap, some shopping, some Chinese food. Got one measly load of laundry accomplished and took the trash out. Not very productive.
Today was mostly consumed by the Race for the Cure. Got up at six to get to downtown Toledo by 7:30. Sat around freezing until 9:30 and then walked 5k by myself because Miranda and her friends disappeared. Well, not by myself. There were thousands of people walking with me, just not on purpose.
Got home from the race and crashed for 2+ hours. By the time I got some groceries and paid some bills, the day was gone. Now I am watching the Dolphins get roughed up by the Jets. Say goodbye to undefeated, boys.
I got the sugar and cream towels done on Friday night. There was enough warp for three plus a little mat. I did not leave enough space for fringe between the towels. They look fine now, but they were really hard to knot. Lesson learned.
The knucks are also done. I can't show you the words I embroidered yet - it is supposed to be a surprise.
This glove pattern is fun and easy. I started another pair at the race this AM and already have one almost done.
I need them to be smaller, so this time I am using sock yarn.
There is enough of my blue handspun left to make a hat, but I have set it aside for now. I've got a couple of birthday deadlines fast approaching.
I really need to use handspun more often, it is so nice to work with. Someday I'll spin enough of something for a whole sweater.
Seems like I should have something else to show, but I guess that is it. I am bound and determined to get to the post office before work to mail packages that are long overdue, so I better go dry my hair. Hope everyone has a happy work week and it flies by as quick as my weekend!
