So, I started. As you can see, this is neither the miter-square blanket nor the ten-stitch triangle. It is the very beginning of the ten stitch zigzag, which I found in the 11th hour when I was debating what I wanted to make. Frankie must have uploaded this pattern very recently because it wasn't there the last time I looked at her stuff on Ravelry.
This is not a tricky pattern. You knit one foundation zig zag strip and then each subsequent strip is joined as you knit it. No seaming! I am planning to alternate dark and light strips and have already started sorting all of my sock yarn morsels accordingly. I'm thinking lapghan size - we'll see.Of course, if I am working on this it means I finished the granny square blanket.
I love it. Final dimensions 60" x 56". I need to wash it, but haven't quite figured out how to hand wash such a monster-sized item. I should send a photo to FluffyKnitterDeb since she is the one who inspired me to start it.
Nothing else to show you today - the zig zag is really my only WIP at the moment unless you count an ancient pair of socks that got a few rows added while I pondered my sock blanket. Heaven knows when those poor things will see the light of day again!
I'm working this weekend and then on my day off Monday, I am seriously considering going out with some of my work bonus and buying this family a Mac computer. Our current computer is on its last legs and I am so freaking tired of dealing with viruses! I spend good money on a virus protection service and the attacks still get through. What's up with that? I think I'd like to give Apple a chance to prove their computers are more secure.
