Once I reached the yoke of my Remedy top, the nagging suspicion that I was going to run out of yarn turned into a crushing certainty. Le sigh.
I really like this sweater and I want to finish it.
Ravelry to the rescue! I looked up Berroco Denim Silk and it told me all the knitters who had some in stash. I flipped through them and found three people who had the color I need. A few PM's later, there are two more skeins coming my way. Dye lot won't be the same, but I will be happy as long as they are close. The new yarn will be for the back of the yoke, so a perfect match is not crucial.
While I wait for the Denim Silk, I made myself an inkle belt. This is 1.25" wide. I wear a lot
of black and red, so it should come in handy.
I also want to make one in shades of brown.
A couple weeks ago, a ball of orange
laceweight followed me home from Yarn
Cravin'. Anybody see this and not think of
Yeah, me either.
The pattern calls for size 6 needles, but that felt like knitting cobwebs with broomsticks, so I am using a 4 instead. The pattern is very easy, but I can't knit without looking - the stitches are too tiny. Not good movie knitting, but fine in good light.I just started week 3 of Couch to 5K. Ran yesterday morning and it was hard! It is suddenly hot and humid here and I was dying for a drink by the time I got home. Next time I will take a water bottle with me. Today is rest day AND knitting night at Yarn Cravin'. Can't beat that!
