Off work Friday and I was mostly planted on the couch. I spent a little time on bills, a little time on taxes, and a lot of time dozing with a hot water bottle on my tummy.
Can you see how I put in a little waist shaping? I made it with zero ease but for once I stayed the course and made it long enough. I wish I had started the yoke pattern a little lower, but I still like it.
The funny thing is that I made this sweater to use up yarn leftover from L's sweater and I still have yarn left!! If I buy another couple skeins, I can make another sweater with random color stripes I guess. I can see this going on for years.
Now I'm knitting some odd slippers for my MIL.She had an old ratty pair that someone made her years and years ago and they were disintegrating. She mailed the nasty things to me and I am duplicating them as well as I can. Acrylic makes a lousy bonfire, but I'm looking forward to dumping her old pair into the trash. I am loving the Olympics! Stayed up late Thursday night watching the men's figure skating. IMHO, Johnny Weir was unfairly scored. I'm not saying he deserved a medal, but he was better than 6th! All the ski crashes are scarring me mentally - they are going so fast! And I am strangely fascinated by curling, despite having not a clue what is going on. Next knitting - my own Olympic hat!!
